The Broken Crayon Program

Integrative Tweens/Teens
Wellness Program

Our 12-week evidence base expert- designed, program will help your tweens, teens and young adults not only address the root of their problem but also develop skills that will empower them through their adolescent years and beyond.

This program has been strategically designed to enhance daily living, not disrupt it, by offering 3x per week after-school sessions that won’t get in the way of your family’s life.

Our team uses their clinical expertise, creativity, compassion, and 25+ years of combined experience working with adolescents and families to individualize the approach for each and every family that comes through our door. We understand every situation is different, and our promise to you is that we will work with your family with that in mind.

Adolescent Social Development Group

This teen-only group focuses on support in and outside of the program. The group addresses deficits in an adolescent’s support group as well as reinforcement for the continued use of the support that has been established. Other topics to be addressed are resiliency, personal growth, communication skills, and recovery

Addictive Behaviors Group & Process Group

A combination of psychodynamic processing concepts is used to address issues around problem behaviors, including chemical dependency, self-injury, high-risk behaviors, and aggression. Tweens/Teens will learn how to better understand their behaviors, intervene with positive behavioral replacements, and enhance self-esteem through resiliency, goal-setting, and achievement.

Multifamily Group – Wednesday

The multifamily group is attended by teens and their family members. Group time includes psychoeducation, Interpersonal Effectiveness skills, and communication.

Teen Support Group – Friday
This group is led by the clients, with help and guidance provided by therapists and staff members. Clients are expected to lead the group on a specific topic and give support through personal experiences. Teen Support provides an excellent opportunity for clients to identify relevant issues, take ownership of their treatment, and practice giving and receiving support in a more independent fashion.
Parent Education

This group allows for the review and practical application of skills learned in multifamily, parent-only groups. This group provides the opportunity for parents to ask specific family questions and gain clarity on how to utilize skills learned with their teens.
